Funding and Costs

medicare-logo-770-270_edited_edited.png

There are a range of different funding options and sources for people

accessing allied health services. Oodles Therapy also accepts private paying

clients who are not eligible for government funding and do not have private

insurance. Please contact us to discuss our updated feed schedule.

The team at Oodles appreciates that the costs associated with seeking

ongoing allied health supports can be daunting, and we aim to be upfront and

transparent as we support you on this journey. Please feel free to contact us

to discuss your specific situation and the associated costs prior to your

initial appointment.

NDIS Funding

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a federal government program delivering

funding and support for children and adults with a disability. At this time, Oodles Therapy is not a

registered NDIS provider, however self-managed and plan-managed participants are able to

utilise non-registered service providers. The therapy team at Oodles is able to provide Early

Childhood Intervention Supports (under 7 years) and Therapy Supports (over 7 years) to  all

individuals with funding for allied health therapy.

Medicare Funding

There are a number of programs which are funded by Medicare to support people to access allied health services. These are:

  • Chronic Disease Management plan

  • Medicare Follow-up Allied Health Services for People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent

These programs do not fully cover the cost of allied health services, but assist by subsidising

the cost of a number of sessions each calendar year. To access this funding you need to have

a valid referral from a GP or specialist which states the appropriate Medicare code number.

Private Health Insurance

If you’re not eligible for government funding or subsidies you may be able to access funding assistance through your private health fund. Allied health services, such as assessments and ongoing therapy, may be covered under your extras policy. Coverage and payment amounts will depend on the policy you hold and may be subject to waiting periods and other conditions.

If you wish to use your private health insurance to help subsidise the cost of therapy sessions, contact your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility.
